Since I am now the News Editor at Combat Mission HQ, there is no longer any need to update Forward Observer with news. I plan to leave this site in place indefinitely so that readers can access the links and the archives. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who helped make Forward Observer a very special community. First, to the webmasters, thank you for supporting my efforts by sending your updates. Without them, this site would have been only so many blank pages. Second, to the readers, thank you for visiting and taking advantage of what this site had to offer. Without you, I am not sure why I would have done this. Third, to my wife, thank you for tolerating my long hours sitting in front of the computer tapping away. Without your support, I might not have had this opportunity at all. Despite the fact that FO will no longer be updated, CMHQ will be. My intention is to run the News department as I ran FO. So, expect to see at least one update per day. Also, expect special events like the now-famous Sidewalk Sale. Lastly, those whacky little icons all the webmasters produced will continue to be used in all their glory. :-) Again, thank you to all who have helped to make Forward Observer something special. Recently Homestead decided to reduce the level of their free website service. Since I have no intention of paying for this website, I am now limited to three pages. I have decided to keep the Home, News, and Links pages. I hope they continue to be useful. |
