Tournamenthouse.com is a ranking and tournament site created and run by wargamers, for wargamers.  We now have 640+ CM members.  CM was a natural addition to our line-up of historical strategy games.  We offer ranking, tournaments, forum, and stats to our members-and membership is free.  Our CM site features an e-mail opponent locator and game log, and a play/chat area for IP play, which has been upgraded with graphics and features similar to that of the MSN Gaming Zone.  Come measure yourself against the best and join the ranks at T-House.

GD for CM
GD for CM will provide mods, scenarios, and information about Germany's premier infantry unit in World War Two - GROSSDEUTSCHLAND - for players of CM and especially CM2.  Aside from limited fighting in the West very late in the war by small subunits, GROSSDEUTSCHLAND was primarily an Eastern Front unit, and the upcoming release of Combat Mission 2 will allow players to explore the history of this storied and elite unit, as it grew from a single infantry regiment to one of the leading Panzergrenadier Divisions.
Dogs of War
The Calgary Highlanders Heritage Section website takes an in-depth look at the history, uniforms, personalities, and traditions of one of Canada's most storied infantry regiments, and brings the World War Two history of that Regiment to life.  Click the banner above to visit this unique and ever-expanding website.
This mini-website is a subsidiary of the internationally-known CANUCK website (see link below on this page).   This CANUCK site is devoted to providing information, scenarios, and uniquely Canadian imagery to the computer game Combat Mission.
The CANUCK website is expanding to meet the needs of collectors, re-enactors, historians, modellers, and those interested in the Canadian Army's participation in the various conflicts of the Twentieth Century.
This website is provided simply to offer a taste of some of the visual treats offered to players, and to showcase the work of the CM mod community.  Premier high-res vehicle mod maker Marco Bergman's work is featured.
Not since the new phone book has there been an epic of such proportion!  It's here, the new full conversion for Big Time Software's smash underdog hit "Combat Mission:  Beyond Overlord" titled desert fox. desert rats.
desert fox. desert rats. joins World War II as Der Wustenfuchs (The Desert Fox), Erwin Rommel is earning his reputation on the sands of North Africa.  This conversion will bring you 30 (updates regularly) new scenarios, which cover some of the most famous battles of the North African campaign.

Whether your favorite is British, American, Vichi French, German, or (yes) Italian, you can find out for yourself what warfare in the desert can be like.  This mod is a complete conversion, using the Combat Mission engine.  All of your gameplay will be the same, but the units, sounds, maps, and missions are 100% African-grown goodness.

If you want more info about the game, click the banner above.
At The Last Defense, you'll find the best mods, some excellent scenarios, lots of classic posts from Big Time Software's Combat Mission forum, and links to other Combat Mission pages.
This site offers two types of map for download:  recreations of historical battlefields and fictitious maps for use in the creation of Combat Mission scenarios.
This site specializes in Combat Mission sound mods.
My goal with this site is to supply a list of scenarios, screens, strategies, links, and other information on Combat Mission.  I really enjoy CM, so I devote this site to Combat Mission mostly.  Any other topics I have here are all World War II related.
An MSN Community in Swedish (Danish and Norwegian also accepted) dedicated primarily for Nordic players to get in touch with each other.  Currently (2001-04-20) about half a dozen members, and negligable activity.  Contains a message board, a few links to major CM sites, and a couple of CM-related pictures.  No mods or other files for downloading, since it seems impossible to implement (tried it and dumped it).
Landser:  Information of Interest Regarding the German Army in the Second World War
The German Army has held a certain fascination in English-speaking circles even predating the unconditional surrender of Germany to the Allies in May, 1945.  This fascination has found statement in cyberspace, where hundreds, perhaps thousands, of amateur websites in the English language cater to this area of interest.  However, for all their zeal, many websites dealing with the German military approach the subject in a haphazard or incomplete way, either attempting too little, or casting their net too far.    I am hoping that the information on this site will generate quality discussion and feedback, and that it may someday take its place alongside the leading online references to which serious researchers and the casually-interested alike might turn to double check some arcane uniform detail, or to contribute some seemingly forgotten tidbit of their own.  Not intended to be a history of the various campaigns German soldiers fought in, LANDSER focuses its attention on details of uniform, equipment, and insignia, as well as attempting to cast light on various military customs and organizations within the German Army of 1939-1945.
Mission:  Combat
Band of Brothers
The Band of Brothers Online Gamer's Club is intended as a place for players of Combat Mission to come together and do battle in the spirit of fun competition.  It's not about winning or losing, but having a good time and making friends with other players.  This club is to be about mutual respect and sportsmanship.  I want the members of this club to feel assured that if they start a game with a fellow member that their opponent will stick around for the duration.  Planned events are tournaments using different formats that will be open to all members that will be used in an ongoing competition to determine the Club Champion.  I will also be running a campaign called Winter's Storm that will have positions for 20 members and be based on a fictional matchup between Allied and Axis forces.
This site was originally designed and established by Garry Kump.  We intend to carry on Garry's tradition and keep it simple, "so you don't have to wait forever while all the neat bells and whistles load."

As Gary says, there are plenty of mods out there, some designed for the subdued world and some for the brighter original environment.  Bright or subdued, we will cover both as long as mod authors keep sending us their great work.  We will also continue to provide comparisons for the excellent vehicle mods which are being released.  New authors can send their work here and we will show it in the Early Bird or Terrain or Unit  miscellaneous sections, whichever is most appropriate.

We hope that the comparisons help you to choose the right mods for your game.

TOMMY:  The British in Combat Mission
With the introduction of the wildly-popular Desert Fox/Desert Rats module, as well as preliminary news on an upcoming Pacific module, interest in British uniforms has increased.  I am pleased to announce that the British mods I have been able to offer the CM community, representing British uniforms for Northwest Europe, North Africa, the Mediterranean, and soon also the Far East, are now hosted on their own site-along with sketch histories and orders of battle of all the infantry divisions (as well as infantry components of armoured divisions) that fought in Northwest Europe.
The site will expand soon to include vehicle markings, uniform insignia, and sketch histories of British divisions around the world in World War Two, and give players the ability to have these formations represented in Combat Mission and its aftermarket modules.  TOMMY is now online and offers CM players easy access to information that apparently has not been compiled for the internet in any one place before.
AKOTM is a CM tournament played by E-Mail.  Entries open only once every couple of months.  It is an elimination tournament.  This is combat; no points are given for second place.  Players are matched according to their CM ability.
Welcome to the wargaming revolution!  While other publishers go chasing the Twitch crowd, we here at Battlefront.com only wish to make great wargames for people who like engaging their brains instead of just physical reflexes.  Take a look at our offerings and you'll see that the kind of quality and dedication we bring to the table is not available anywhere else.  Also make sure to stop by the Discussion Forums and talk with our Developers about their games!
